Today, EURADA participates in the Committee of the Regions ‘Cities and Regions for Development Cooperation’ Forum.

This forum brings together actors ranging from municipal leaders to European Commission officials to face up to the challenges that towns and regions encounter. With challenges abound as far as the interlinkages between urbanisation and environmental degradation are concerned, towns and regions sit at the gateway to solution making in urban sustainable development.

Such solution making and challenge management is not possible without cooperation. The President of the Committee of the Regions , Karl-Heinz Lambertz reinforced the key role that dialogue between actors can play when engaged in combatting urban challenges.

During the two days of fora, intitatives promoting cooperation will be centre stage focused on the themes of good urban governance, social urban development, green and resilient cities, and urban innovation.
