Casas replaces Julio Samuel Coca Blanes as the Director-General of the Innovation and Development Agency of Andalusia (Spain)
Fernando Casas Pascual has been appointed new Director-General of the Andalusian Agency for Innovation and Development IDEA of the Government of Andalusia (Spain). He replaced previous DG Julio Samuel Coca Blanes from 14th February onwards.
Born in 1973, he has a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Seville. He has a Master’s Degree in Advanced Studies in Business Administration from the University of Seville, having also an Expert Degree in Public Financial Management by the “Instituto de El Monte” in collaboration with the Andalusian Institute of Public Administration and the University of Seville. He also has a Diploma in Account Auditing and certified in International Auditing Standards by the University of Valencia.
So far, he has held different public positions within the Andalusian Administration: Secretary General of Finance and Public Administration (June 2018-February 2019), General Director of Treasury and Public Debt of the Regional Ministry of Finance and Public Administration (July 2017-June 2018), and General Director for Budget of the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration (July 2016- June 2017). He is an associate professor at the University of Seville on leave for secondment of public position and belongs to the Foundation “Institute of Studies on the Public Treasury of Andalusia”.
