We are glad to announce that four new associations have joined Eurada during this summer. New members that will help strengthen Eurada as an organisation. Although coming from European State Members as diverse as Italy, France Bulgaria, and Malta, their commitment to regional development and their approach to it follows the guidelines and standards of other Eurada members. These guidelines develop crucial tasks and are well-known in our organisation such as the attraction of Foreign Direct Investment, implementation of innovation-oriented policies, assistance to local business and companies, promotion of the local economic environment, and boosting the collaboration between public authorities and regional stakeholders towards the economic development of their regions. Without further ado, the new associated organisations in alphabetical order:


Choose Paris Region is a catalyst for business and innovation which supports international companies willing to expand in the Paris Region. As a non-profit governmental agency, the organisation works with local public entities to provide free tailor-made services. 

Every year, with its team of 80 dedicated professionals across Europe, the US, and China, Choose Paris Region supports 1,000+ international companies looking to grow their business in the Paris Region, one of the world’s leading tech and business hubs. 

Choose Paris Region brings its deep market and industry expertise together with an extensive network to support international companies in building tech partnerships, designing their go-to market strategy, and providing guidance to implement their local presence.


Malta Enterprise (ME), the Maltese national Economic Development Agency is a Government Agency established by law and falls under the remit of the Maltese Ministry for the Economy, Investment and Small Businesses. 

The agency was set up in 2004 and is responsible for promoting and facilitating international investment in the Maltese Islands by offering investors tailored services as well as coordinating initiatives to promote the country’s economic growth attractiveness. It is also responsible for the growth and development of Maltese enterprises. Malta Enterprise helps businesses to set up, expand, innovate and access global markets. One of ME’s key interests and expertise is fostering and developing new industry niches, which include high value-added manufacturing, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, maritime, logistics and ICT. ME is involved in national policy development, particularly related to start-ups, industry, economy, RD&I and entrepreneurship, and is the Government’s main advisor in these areas. Among others, ME operates the Kordin Business Incubator (KBIC) and the Malta Life Sciences Park. 


Sitting at the crossroads of Europe and Asia Minor, Plovdiv not only lays claim to the title of the Oldest Living City in Europe, but it is also currently the largest industrial centre of Bulgaria. 

The local IT sector is one of the sectors that has experienced steady growth. Business process outsourcing is another rapidly growing service sector that takes advantage of having a young and well-educated workforce. This is helped by the well-developed educational system in Plovdiv, preparing many students in technical and industry-oriented disciplines. Plovdiv is positioned as a leading university city of national importance, second only to the capital Sofia. There are 9 universities and colleges in Plovdiv with 41 549 students, 80 vocational training centres, and 29 vocational high schools. 

Furthermore, Plovdiv boasts a multitude of ancient historical sites, making it a popular tourist destination for both national and foreign visitors. This ancient city has an amazing historical and cultural heritage and an incredible Old Town, a candidate for the UNESCO World Heritage List.


Sviluppo Marche SRL (SVIM) in Italy reached its 20th anniversary this year. SVIM closely supports the activities of the Public Administration to boost the economic development of the Marche region. With the implementation of the Innovation Voucher Scheme, the organisation was awarded during the 2019 EURADA Awards as the best development agency in the non-member category. The Innovation Voucher Scheme has proven to be an absolute success, thanks to which many SMEs from Marche had benefited. EURADA welcomes SVIM as its new member.
