EURADA has been organizing for 5 years now a celebration of good practices where now both members and non-members can take part. EURADA wants to find exemplary practices conducted or prepared by development agencies and their stakeholders. We want to encourage everyone to take place in this non-competitive and enriching opportunity of sharing good practices and winning recognition.
EURADA has finally prepared the new edition for our yearly awards. Both members and non-members can be awarded, and their work recognized. Also, there is plenty of time to prepare your participation, since the deadline will be on November 25th.
EURADA Awards aim to celebrate and recognize innovative and best practices in regional development. These awards have taken place yearly since 2015, and many projects, proposals and tools have been acknowledged and widely projected. Having said so, one can see that the desired outcome of EURADA Awards is to identify new developments introduced by both members and non-members agencies and showcasing them for the benefit of all European regional economic practitioners.
There are four types of action which will be rewarded. The first one regarding to new organizational model for development agencies; the second one, support given to scaleup of companies and entrepreneurship; the third one, researching new topics or new uses in the area of regional economic development; and, the fourth one, re-inventing the development agency.
One should note the three criteria considered, which are the novelty in practices, the potential impact of the tool, project or proposal and its availability of diffusion and transfer to other regions.
Lastly, EURADA will ask the parties who wish to take place three questions to be shortly answered regarding to the selection criteria: What tool or practice are you implementing and how does it differ from currents practices? What is its expected or measured impact? What is its potential of transferability?
In these past years, many development agencies have been recognized, and we wanted to take note of them to recall their tools, projects and proposals. On 2015, East Netherlands Development Agency (Oost NL) was awarded for their Food Valley Ambassador Programme. On 2016, the winner was Kainuun Etu from Kainuu, Finland, for their one-stop-shop service. On 2017 there were several awardees. From the members category, IDEPA and SODENA from Asturias and Navarra, Spain, respectively, won the award. From the non-members category, ASTER (now ART-ER) from Emilia-Romagna, Italy, and the Regional Development Agency of the Ljubljana Urban Region (RRA LUR), from Slovenia were the ones recognized. On 2018, the awarded agency from the members category was East Marmara Development Agency (MARKA), Turkey, for their InnoTEAM programme, and from the non-member category there were two awardees, Agence du Numérique from Belgium for their policy design of Digital Wallonia and CEAGA from Galicia, Spain, for their Business Factory Auto.
