Online Webinar: Intellectual Property as a driver of local economic growth

EURADA is pleased to invite its members and the wider innovation community to the online session “Intellectual Property as a driver of local economic growth”, taking place on 5 May 2026, from 10:00 to 11:30 CEST. 

The session will showcase how intellectual property (IP) acts as a key driver of local economic growth, fostering innovation, competitiveness, and regional development across the European Union. 

EURADA members will present practical examples from regional experiences in leveraging IP: 

  • Enterprise Greece (Greece) – insights on integrating IP into business support services to strengthen regional innovation ecosystems  
  • Andalucía Trade (Spain) – experience supporting SMEs in using IP Services  
  • ART-ER (Italy) – case study on facilitating IP-based innovation and investment in regional clusters  
  • La Réunion Innovation (France, La Réunion) – insights into patenting trends, offering a practical glimpse into how IP is shaping regional development across Europe,  

This session is particularly relevant for regional development agencies, policymakers, clusters, SMEs, and innovation practitioners. Participants will gain actionable insights into harnessing IP to boost local economic growth, integrating IP into regional business support services, and the strategic role of development agencies in enabling SMEs to benefit from intellectual property. The session will also present the SME Fund 2026, pro bono IP services, and the IP Support for Small Businesses website.
