CIDEA opens its doors to the public and presents new local development projects as well as a balance of those already completed

Today we would like to share with you some news about our members in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the CIDEA City Development Agency. This news is a clear example of how important the transparency of public institutions towards citizens is.

That is why our member CIDEA organised an event called "Open Doors of the City Development Agency" for representatives of local institutions, citizens' associations, business representatives and individuals, where some of the most important projects of this agency were presented, and future projects were announced.

At the event, it was pointed out that in the last year alone, more than KM2 million of European and other countries' funds were invested, and through various projects, more than 300 people were trained in the textile, metallurgical, construction, catering and entrepreneurship sectors, who after training, and employed in numerous partner companies and public institutions.

There was also a special review of the project "Improving accessibility and availability of health and social services to improve the quality of social inclusion of children and youth with disabilities", which was implemented in cooperation with partners from Banja Luka, Zadar and Podgorica.

The great importance of CIDEA also lies in the development of the Tourist and Recreational Centre "Manjača", as well as in the preparation for the nomination for the selection of the most beautiful village in the world, said the director of the Centre for Development and Improvement of the Village Draško Ilić. Thanks to that, adds Ilić, among other things, the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) made a list of the best tourist villages in the world and among 52 villages, Krupa na Vrbas was marked as the most beautiful village in BiH that should be visited. in the coming year.

The director of the City Development Agency, Mario Milanović, announced the new projects and emphasised that these days the realisation of a project they are very proud of starts.

"I would like to mention a project that we approved about ten days ago. It is a project for equipping the Technical School in Banja Luka with means for practical teaching. It is a KM700,000 project. It is a German fund that will finance this project, while we are in negotiations with the European Union about a million-dollar project for the development of the infrastructure of cultural and creative industries in Banja Luka. It is still too early to reveal everything, but we are counting on the support of Great Britain above all because the head of the Warner Bros studio is coming to Banja Luk, who will support the development part of this project".

Announcing new activities, Milanović emphasised that the Danube Business Forum will also be organised this year. He says that last year's event resonated very well and that Banjaluka will continue to organise this business forum.
