Responsibilities and tasks

The EURADA Junior Policy and Project Officer will support the management and implementation of EU-funded projects related to regional development and innovation, contribute to EURADA's activities in terms of analysis and stakeholders engagement related to Smart Specialisation Strategies (S3), and provide support in managing the internal Working Group on Digitalisation. The ideal candidate will have experience in policy, project management, communication, and dissemination. 

 

The candidate will:

  • Contribute to the content development for EU projects’ deliverables, as well as the organisation of meetings, online seminars and conferences;
  • Develop and implement detailed projects and working group content;
  • Assisting in research, analysis and drafting of S3-related deliverables;
  • Contribute to the association’s main annual events and outreach activities.

 

Required expertise and experience

  • University degree. Background in EU studies, public policy, economics, regional development, or a related field;
  • Knowledge of English level C1;
  • Previous experience in EU-funded projects: writing, implementation and reporting;
  • Knowledge and experience in regional development, innovation, and cohesion policies.

 

The candidatures will be evaluated based on

  • Level of knowledge in EU-funded projects implementation (Monitoring and Dissemination, Capacity Building, Communication);
  • Level of knowledge of cohesion policy and S3 and related experience in these areas;
  • Level of capacity in performing policy analysis and support;
  • Level of capacity in planning, analysing, and developing content for project deliverables and reports;
  • Level of capacity in organising meetings, national and European seminars, and conferences (physical and online);
  • Ability to work and multi-task under pressure, respond quickly to changing situations in complex project environments;
  • Writing ability in translating complex topics into powerful messages resonating among the Brussels audience and beyond (social media and digital content, press materials, factsheets, one-pagers, etc.);
  • Innovative, entrepreneurial, and open-minded approach to project management, network development and engagement.

 

These skills will be evaluated as assets

  • Knowledge of regional development and related topics;
  • Certification in Project Management;
  • Other European languages. Knowledge of German is considered a plus;
  • Relevant experience in a similar role in a European or international setting.

 

What we are offering

  • Temporary replacement contract of 6 months (38h/week) under Belgian law (CP 337) starting as soon as possible, potentially in February 2026, with the possibility of extension;
  • A monthly gross salary of € 2,111.89;
  • Pecule de vacances and prime de fin d'année (13th and 14th salaries);
  • Meal vouchers and metropolitan transport costs;
  • Fixed monthly amount to cover teleworking from home costs;
  • Complete health insurance package: hospitalisation insurance, outpatient care insurance, and dental care;
  • The job is based in Brussels and it is therefore not a remote position. However, EURADA has implemented a policy allowing staff to mix office presence and teleworking. Applicants must have the right to work in Belgium.
