Cultivating forward-thinking and future literacy in Regional Development Agencies

Article written by Giacomo Frisanco, Communication, Policy and Membership Manager and Neus Armenjach, Communication Assistant

EURADA, in collaboration with the OECD Trento Centre for Local Development, is thrilled to introduce a unique learning initiative aimed at enhancing the forward-thinking and future literacy of professionals in regional development agencies. This initiative consists of two insightful online workshops and a special session at the 2024 EURADA-OECD Winter School.

The main objective of this EURADA and OECD Trento Centre for Local Development initiative is to underscore the importance of anticipatory approaches, specifically strategic foresight, in local development. In a constantly evolving world, regional development agencies play a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of their regions. The workshops, open to all EURADA members and non-members, provide participants with essential tools and insights to stay ahead in regional development.

The online workshops, scheduled for January 16 and 23, 2024, will cover topics such as future literacy, forward-thinking strategies, and interactive group exercises. These sessions aim to equip professionals with the skills necessary to navigate future challenges and opportunities effectively.

Moreover, participants attending both online workshops will benefit from a reduced fee for the in-person session at the Winter School in Utrecht, the Netherlands, on February 27, 2024.

Don't miss this opportunity to join an exciting journey towards enhancing regional development expertise. Register now for the online workshops and prepare to contribute to a more sustainable and resilient future for your region.

For further details and registration, fill in the online form or reach out to our colleague Giacomo Frisanco and/or Katerina Ciampi Stancova from the OECD Trento Centre for Local Development team.
