Article written by Giacomo Frisanco – Head of Communication, Policy and Membership, Ivana Rae Almora – Project Manager, and Jerome Friedrichs – Policy Officer.

The EURADA Secretariat is happy to officially announce that the 8th edition of the EURADA Brokerage Event will take place on Wednesday 29 March 2023 at EURADA’s premises in Brussels and online.

The Brokerage Event offers to participants coming from every corner of Europe a unique opportunity to gain insight into how European funding opportunities are delivered through EU programmes such as Horizon Europe and Interreg Europe.

This one-day hybrid event aims to gather experts in the field of regional development, innovation, smart specialisation strategies and more, to find new partners for ongoing or future European project proposals and to learn from each other. Click here to read the concept note of the event.

This year’s event consists of four sessions dedicated to funding opportunities: Interreg Europe, Erasmus+, Horizon Europe and the I3 Instrument. Speakers from the European Commission and the Interreg Europe Joint Secretariat will present current and future initiatives and funding opportunities in support of research, innovation, as well as policy development and implementation. Click here to check the draft agenda of the event.

If you are interested in the pitching session, you can either present a successful project from the past, a project idea for an upcoming call or yourself/the organisation you represent. These options will be given to you during the registration process. Please note that pitch applications will be evaluated. You will receive an email confirmation about your participation in the pitching session by 17 March 2023 at the latest.

To facilitate networking, we will share the short profiles of all registered participants prior to the event. Thanks to the shared public catalogue of participants and profiles, all attendees will have the chance to arrange bilateral meetings to create consortiums for potential projects, and forge links for future partnerships.

Given the success of past editions (click here if you would like to read more about the last edition), we foresee participation from at least 20 Regional Development Agencies in presence at our premises in Brussels, while the remaining 50 are foreseen to connect online. We aspire to make this event as one of the most enriching and fruitful opportunities for European development agencies in 2023. We hope that through this event, experts in the innovation field will generate synergies that hopefully will be translated into new partnerships for ongoing or future proposals.
