Cristina Sanz Rutherford


After a 6-month internship at EURADA, Cristina joined the secretariat in July 2024. She currently manages several Horizon Europe projects dealing with circular economy, climate resilience and adaptation, sustainable wellbeing, and sustainable, inclusive and participatory urban design, such as CircSystCLIMAAX, ToBe Research and SPICE. In addition, she moderates EURADA’s Gender Equality Working Group and contributes to other policy-related activities, proposal writing, event organisation and other ad hoc activities. 

 
Cristina holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of Deusto (Spain) and a Master's degree in Conflict and Development Studies from the University of Ghent (Belgium), where she specialised in gender studies and human rights. Before joining EURADA, Cristina worked as a Research Assistant in several human rights-oriented entities, where she gained experience in research, advocacy and communication work.
