Our member IDEA Alzira wins "Good Governance" Award for Social Innovation

Article written by EURADA Secretariat

Our Spanish member, IDEA Alzira, has recently won the "Good Governance" Award for Social Innovation.

IDEA Alzira has been honored in the VIII edition of the Good Governance Awards 2025, organized by the Federació Valenciana de Municipis i Províncies. The recognition was awarded to the “FIND – Fostering Integral NEETs Development” project in the category of Local Development, Employment, and Trade.

The Evaluation Commission highlighted this initiative for its excellence in public management and its capacity to transform the social reality of the municipality. The project has been recognised as a best practice in local management due to its significant social impact:

  • Socio-Occupational Integration: Upon completion, 70% of the young participants (NEETs) secured a job or re-engaged with education.
  • Total Activation: The programme successfully activated 100% of its participants before its conclusion.
  • High Social Return: The initiative achieved an estimated social return of €2.13 for every euro invested.
  • European Excellence: Alzira was the only entity in the Valencian Community, and one of only six in Spain, selected for this European call under the ALMA initiative (funded 80% by the European Social Fund Plus).

IDEA’s work demonstrates that it is possible to design more human and effective active employment policies, tailored to the real needs of groups facing the greatest barriers to integration.
