Waste Management Workshop. Shaping circular strategies locally

As partner of the CCRI Knowledge Hub, EURADA is pleased to invite you to the upcoming CCRI Knowledge Hub Workshop, taking place on 28 October 2025, from 12:30 to 14:00 CET!

The Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI) is an initiative launched by the European Commission as part of the EU Circular Economy Action Plan. Its primary aim is to support the transition to a circular economy at the local and regional levels across Europe. By focusing on implementing Circular Systemic Solutions (CSS), the CCRI seeks to reduce pressure on natural resources, foster sustainable growth, and contribute to achieving the EU's climate neutrality target by 2050.

Within the CCRI Office, the CCRI Knowledge Hub consolidates and expands the knowledge base available to the CCRI community, providing additional support through a dedicated mentoring programme. In this context, the CCRI Knowledge Hub is organising a Workshop on Waste Management.

This upcoming Workshop will be moderated by EURADA and will be focused on regional and local strategies for circular waste management

Highlights from the Agenda include:

  • Opening remarks from Dr. Athanasia Maria Tompolidi, Policy and Project Officer at EURADA;
  • Insights into EURADA’s involvement in supporting circular economy transitions, presented by Cristina Sanz Rutherford, Policy and Project Officer at EURADA
  • Showcase of regional best practices with a representative from the Navarra Zirkular Initiative;
  • Discussions on the local waste management challenges and opportunities for circular solutions with a representative from Roskovec Municipality

The workshop will close with a Q&A session and summary of key takeaways to support next steps in Roskovec’s journey toward circular waste practices.
