The EU project lasts 25 months and has been approved by the European Innovation Council and the European Commission's Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EISMEA). The total value is 1.3 million euros, of which 420 thousand euros will be intended for direct support to start-up entrepreneurs in tourism.
Tourism 4.0 aims to develop programs for capacity building, technology transfer, support and assistance to SMEs in the tourism sector to adopt and take advantage of new digital technologies, thus improving their productivity, sustainability and overall business efficiency. The project lasts 25 months and has been approved by the European Innovation Council and the European Commission's Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EISMEA).
The main goals of the project are:
Technical and business assistance to small and medium enterprises in tourism
Financial support to small and medium enterprises in tourism
Support peer learning, training and awareness raising.
Besides DURA (Dubrovnik Development Agency, Croatia), the project partnership consists of 10 partners from 6 countries, from the sectors of tourism, innovation and business services: Federturismo Confindustria (Italy), NEST Centro de Inovação do Turismo (Portugal), Dubrovnik Development Agency DURA d.o.o. (Croatia), Cluster Digital de Catalunya (Spain), Malta Business Bureau (Malta), AEI Cluster Turismo de Extremadura (Spain), Association of Hotel Entrepreneurs (Croatia), Málaga TechPark (Spain), Regional Chamber of Commerce (Poland) and, of course, Wisdom Guardian LDA YooniK (Portugal)
