Kaila was launched in October 2020, and in this short period has unified in a single environment more than 65 European open data sources including information on 170,000 innovators, 100,000 projects, and 13,000 funding opportunities. With its powerful graphical interface, its sophisticated algorithm, and the different functionalities it offers, Kaila is a platform that understands the needs of its users, adapts to them, and anticipates their innovation interests. In this way, it allows them to obtain funding for projects, analyse innovation trends, carry out competitive surveillance and find partners and collaborators.
For example, if a French organisation wants to develop a transnational cooperation project with organisations in Spain, Belgium and Poland, it can search in Kaila for organisations that have carried out similar work to its own. In this way, the possibilities for collaboration, exchange of good practices and networking are greatly expanded.
Kaila can provide highly accurate aggregated results that give insight into how European actors innovate, the funds they get, who they collaborate with, or the funding opportunities that can benefit them.
EURADA finds in Kaila a good tool to be aware of existing call and to prepare for future ones, while offering the possibility to contact partners who are or have been working in similar innovation initiatives.
