New stage reached for the creation of the regional resource centre dedicated to the digital transition

One more time, our member, DEV'UP Centre-Val de Loire, shows his efforts to support better the companies and local authorities, in this case, with the goal of accelerating and facilitating the digital transition.

Taking into account that succeeding in the digital revolution is one of the main challenges for the economic development, helping the organisation to accomplish the transition is one of the main priorities for RDAs. In that sense, Centre-Val de Loire Region has decided to set up a dedicated resource centre, for which DEV'UP Centre-Val de Loire is responsible.

The project “Loire Valley Data Centre for Well-being and Sustainability” was first presented and selected during the call for European funding projects (find all the details in this article) for the constitution of the network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH or resource centre for digital transformation). Therefore, after the application phase, the regional project has just been submitted on 22 February and it could be operational from January 2023 for at least 3 years. Loire Valley Data Hub aims to support businesses and local authorities in their digital transformation projects and, more specifically, in the development of projects aimed at collecting, protecting and enhancing data through the use of key technologies, advanced digital skills and infrastructures such as artificial intelligence.

We wish our member all the best with the opening process of this new DIH, whereby, the region will be able to accelerate its development in the area of innovation and more specifically in the smart specialisation strategy.
