The Canary Islands boost the digital development of their companies - ACIISI

ACIISI, the Canarian Agency for Research, Innovation and the Information Society, has announced the reinforcement of the CIDE Digital initiative, incorporating new experts in the field of digital transformation. This initiative, financed by the European Regional Development Fund, continues growing and increasing the competitiveness of the Canary Islands.

CIDE Digital is an initiative promoted by our member, the Canary Islands Agency for Research, Innovation and the Information Society (ACIISI), and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, created as a complementary and free tool to help the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem to lead the change in its digital dimension.

A team of sixteen experts in digital transformation joins the Canary Islands Network of Innovation and Business Development Centres at the CIDE Digital. The new CIDEs have already provided more than 400 information services to SMEs, the self-employed, and entrepreneurs, and have held training activities with more than 600 participants. They have also provided advice on the management and financing of digitalisation support instruments, such as the Kit Digital grant, a grant financed by European Union Next Generation funds for small businesses, micro-enterprises, and self-employed individuals.

Important achievements were reached through the cooperation between public entities and regional development agencies with a common goal, in this case, to make digital transformation within the reach of Canary Islands companies.
