Twenty companies are the first beneficiaries of the Indupymes programme to bring Industry 4.0 to transport in Andalusia and Alentejo

Our member, IDEA’s last news reports how companies from Andalusia have benefited from the EU initiative Indupymes 4.0. This European project aims to promote cross-border cooperation and improve the participation of the business fabric in innovation processes and in R&D&I actions closer to the market.

Twenty companies have already benefited from the Indupymes programme to bring Industry 4.0 closer to transport in Andalusia and Alentejo. This European project aims to promote cross-border cooperation and improve the participation of the business fabric in innovation processes and in R&D&I actions closer to the market. The Regional Ministry of Economic Transformation, Industry, Knowledge, and Universities is participating in this programme, through the IDEA Agency, together with ten other entities including regional administrations, universities, SMEs, clusters and technology centres from both regions.

At the programme's closing event, an assessment was made of the actions carried out and the results obtained:

  • Two demonstration centres have been created for testing technologies applied to SMEs in the transport sector;
  • A methodology for digital transformation has also been generated, which has been applied by facilitating the carrying out of 15 innovation diagnoses for Andalusian and Portuguese companies in the transport sector; and a virtual incubator has been set up to support entrepreneurship in this field;
  • Two maps of current resources: the first of entities that provide specialised services in the field of Industry 4.0, and the second of entities that provide training in Industry 4.0;
  • Training programmes in Industry 4.0 for CEOs and SME digitalisation managers have also been launched; and
  • A Technological platform was developed for industrial SMEs to support them in the digital transformation of their business.

From EURADA, we want to showcase another fruitful case of IDEA, one of our members, as an example of the benefits that regional companies can have access to through the actions developed in the framework of European initiatives.
