The city of Barcelona hosted the 7th Transnational Meeting of the Allview Erasmus+ Vocational Excellence Platform consortium, which spanned from 18 to 20 October 2023. This highly anticipated event was designed to enhance the commitment and coordination among the project partners.

The first day of the gathering was marked by intense deliberations and discussions. It served as an occasion to address the various work packages integral to the project, tackle outstanding tasks that required immediate attention, and set the direction for future activities. Simultaneously, the meeting provided an opportunity to revisit and catch up on pending tasks, such as stakeholder working groups, Memoranda of Understanding (MoU), plans for Roll-out events, the Comprehensive EU Guide, and regional action plans.

On the second day of the event, consortium members had the unique opportunity to visit the Interihotel International Fair, organised by the AMBIT cluster. With over 175 exhibitors showcasing their products and services, the fair provided a platform for direct interaction with Spain's leading contract hospitality companies, allowing attendees to explore the latest trends and innovations in the sector. The highlight of the day was a visit to the Virtual Reality concept rooms immersing attendees in a world of innovation and creativity. To add a cultural touch to the experience, the group embarked on a guided tour to discover the charm of Barcelona's historic old town.

Day three of the event was dedicated to fostering international collaborations in the realm of education and innovation projects within the furnishings value chain. The B2B & C2C EVENT aimed to create a platform for extensive networking.

The consortium meeting in Barcelona was not only a testament to the dedication and enthusiasm of the ALLVIEW project partners but also an opportunity to create a network of like-minded individuals passionate about driving innovation and excellence in the field of wood and furniture sectors.

As the event concluded, the consortium members looked forward to the next year, which marks the final stage of their collaborative journey. They anticipate that this collective effort will culminate in the Final Conference scheduled for October 2024. With the shared experiences and insights gained during the meeting, they are determined to make the last leg of their journey a resounding success. This upcoming conference will serve as the summit of the achievements, where the results of all their hard work and dedication will be presented to a global audience, further advancing the Wood and Furniture sector.
