Inclusive and lasting citizen engagement and improved local governance through international partnerships

In the context of the 7th edition of the bi-annual international Forum “Cities and Regions for International Partnerships”, EURADA is pleased to share that our breakout room session proposal has been approved. The session will take place online on the 29th of November from 14:00-17:00.

Entitled “Inclusive and lasting citizen engagement and improved local governance through international partnerships”, the session will tackle questions related to initiatives and international agreements in place to address topics of decarbonisation, youth, social and health as well as communication services. It is envisioned to be an active and participative discussion where the audience are highly encouraged to share their vision and opinion on the topic.

The 2021 edition of the Forum will be a key opportunity to contribute to the implementation of both the Agenda 2030 and the European Commission’s priorities for 2021-2027, through the activation of local authorities from both EU and Partner countries. The focus of this year’s Forum will be on:

  • Sustainable and Green Recovery

  • Participatory Citizenship and Good Governance

Specific attention will also be given to the local use of digital opportunities and to the consideration of the inclusive and human dimension (i.e. inter-gender, intergenerational and inter-cultural).

Jointly organised by the European Commission (Directorate General for International Partnerships) and the European Committee of the Regions, the Forum is a unique opportunity for Mayors and Presidents of regions from the European Union to meet and dialogue with their colleagues from other cities and regions of Partner countries from Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Registration close on the 25th of November. Don’t miss out, click here to register.
