The ENHANCER project comes to Konya to improve entrepreneurial skills for better socio-economic cohesion

Our member, MEVKA - Mevlana Development Agency, has recently announced the launching of the first training session in Konya of the ENHANCER Project, focus on entrepreneurial capacities improvement for a sustainable socio-economic cohesion. The project was launch as the result of a cooperation initiative with the International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) and the European Union.

The International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), of which MEVKA - Mevlana Development Agency is a partner, is an international organisation aimed to ensure efficient cooperation and partnerships along migration routes by bringing all important players around the same table.

The main purpose of the ENHANCER project, funded by the European Union and ICMPD with the coordination of the General Directorate of Development Agencies of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, is to contribute to the participation of Syrians under Temporary Protection in the Host Communities through social programmes and employment opportunities. 

With a budget of € 32,502,249.00, the actions of the project are going to be taken in different regions, among them, the region of Konya, where our member has their quarter head offices. 

The activities will be carried out over 3 different intervention areas:

  • Improving entrepreneurship and private sector contribution;
  • Developing the Policy and Management Framework;
  • Managing Communication and Reaching Target Groups.
